Bobbie Holland is a recently retired combat veteran with over 19 years of service in the U.S. Army. She deployed in support of Operation New Dawn, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, working as a signal support system specialist. In her civilian life, Holland is a registered nurse in an emergency department, with experience in ICU and hospice.
She looks forward to connecting with others who may share in her life struggles. Holland has found that post-traumatic stress disorder has made it difficult to adapt to civilian life and relate to those around her in meaningful ways. Holland considers the expedition an opportunity to go beyond her comfort zone and grow to be a better person and friend.
