Brad enlisted in to the Air Force in 1998. After Basic Military Training at Lackland AFB in Texas, he was stationed at Keesler AFB in Mississippi. Brad graduated from Meteorological and Navigational Systems Apprentice training and was stationed at Travis AFB in California. In early 2001, he was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina. He was assigned to a NATO division in support of OPERATION JOINT FORGE. In early 2002, he was temporarily deployed to Goodfellow AFB in Texas to be cross-trained as an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter. Brad was honorably discharged at the end of 2002 and served in the Air Force Reserves until the end of 2006.

Upon leaving the Air Force, Brad graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics. He enjoys SCUBA, Flying and Hunting. Brad has a 20-year-old daughter who is a junior at the University of Arizona and a Cadet in the Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps.

Since being discharged from the Air Force and after graduating from ERAU, Brad has felt disconnected from his military service and other veterans. His time in the military was one of the best times of his life. Brad is very proud of his service and looks forward to the esprit de corps and comaradery of doing this expedition with other veterans.
