Branch of Service: U.S. Marine Corps

State: Texas

Bio: Orlando served 20 years in the Marine Corps. He joined the Marines right out of high school and married shortly after joining.

Today, Orlando has been married for 22 years and is a proud father and grandfather. Orlando loves hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors and especially time spent with other veterans. Although his transition into civilian life was difficult, Orlando did not want to allow his challenges to slow down his everyday life. Veteran support programs have been an amazing healing tool for him. His family has allowed him to build friendships and confidence, allowing him to focus on the positive rather than the negative.

Through this expedition, Orlando hopes to reduce stress and anxiety, motivating him to be more physically fit and better able to participate in group activities with other wounded veterans. He also strongly believes that this expedition will help in his healing process.
