Branch of Service: U.S. Army
Bio: Teresa spent 10 years in the Army, but had been planning on 20 years. Her career ended early due to a back injury, which was a devastating blow. Civilian life was a huge adjustment for Teresa and while it was challenging at first, Teresa received a tremendous amount of help from her newfound involvement with various veteran organizations.
The most life-changing experience for Teresa was when she joined a hiking group with fellow veterans and they trained together all summer in preparation to climb Mount Baker. She enjoyed having a mission and being part of a team once again.
Teresa is excited for the expedition and is eager to regain purpose through her teammates. She is also excited for the opportunity to challenge herself and work toward a goal.
